Blue Screen (BSOD) Errors

Encountering a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) can be alarming, indicating that your operating system has encountered a critical stop error and shut down to protect your data. Follow these steps to diagnose and resolve crash codes.

    • 1. Note the Stop Code or Error Message: Record the specific error code (e.g., CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED or MEMORY_MANAGEMENT) or scan the on-screen QR code to identify the exact root cause.

    • 2. Disconnect Recent Peripherals: Unplug any newly added USB devices, external drives, or hardware components that may be utilizing incompatible or faulty drivers.

    • 3. Run System File Checker (SFC): Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run sfc /scannow to scan and repair corrupted or missing Windows system files.

    • 4. Update or Roll Back Drivers: Check Device Manager for any yellow warning flags, update critical display and chipset drivers, or roll back a driver update if the crashes started immediately after installation.
